Lupina Lecture on the Moral Dimension of Body Image and Eating Disorders March 26, 2012

On Monday, March 26th, 2012, at 7pm, Beth Haile of Carroll College will speak on "An Appetite for Thinness: Exploring the Moral Dimensions of Body Image and Eating Disorders." The lecture will be hosted at Regis College.

Beth Haile is an assistant professor of moral theology at Carroll College in Helena, Montana. She received her doctorate from Boston College in Theological Ethics in 2011. Her dissertation entitled “A Good Appetite: A Thomistic Approach to Eating and Body Image Disorders in American Women” explored the moral psychology underlying thin-ideal internalization, the process by which women become habituated to see extreme thinness as a good. Beth is married and is expecting her first child in January.
