Italian Translation of Lonergan's Works Presented to Benedict XVI

On May 14 Father Federico Lombardi, Director of the Vatican Press Office,
presented Benedict XVI, the first seven volumes of the "opera omnia" of
Father Bernard Lonergan, S.J. translated into Italian. Father Lonergan (1904-1984) is the acclaimed Canadian, Jesuit philosopher and theologian who taught at the Immaculate Conception College in Montreal, the Gregorian University in Rome, Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA, and Regis College in the University of Toronto where he authored several of his principal works. Fr. Lonergan's works are being published in a critical edition by the Lonergan Research Institute in collaboration with the University of Toronto Press and translated into several languages including Chinese, French, German, and Italian.
