His Grace, Archbishop Thomas Collins, D.D. was born in Guelph, Ontario, and ordained to the Priesthood at the Cathedral of Christ the King, Hamilton, Ontario, on May 5, 1973. He was ordained to the Episcopate on May 14, 1997. His Grace was installed as Bishop of Saint Paul, Alberta, on June 30, 1997, and named Archbishop of Edmonton, Alberta, on June 7, 1999. On January 30, 2007 he succeeded Cardinal A. Ambrozic as Archbishop of Toronto, Ontario.
