Conditions and Requirements

Please note the following guidelines regarding the acceptance of scholarships and bursaries:

  • Financial awards are credited to the student’s account on the Repository of Student Information (ROSI) as specified in the award letter, usually in the first month of the applicable session.
  • Students must comply with any conditions specified in the award letter.
  • Students who have received awards may defer payment of their tuition fees until the award is credited to their account by contacting the Finance Office at Regis College.
  • Not all scholarships and bursaries are awarded every year.
  • Amounts awarded are subject to change at the discretion of the Awards Committee of Regis College.
  • To fulfill OSOTF requirements, those awards asterisked as partially funded by OSOTF are restricted in certain years to Canadian citizens and Ontario residents.
  • Bursaries and scholarships are only applicable to current fees in the year awarded.
  • Awards may not be applied against any outstanding fees from previous years nor deferred to a subsequent year.
  • Any recipient of a Regis College scholarship or bursary who fails to register or withdraws from their program will forfeit or return the award.
  • Students who take fewer courses than declared on their award application forms or drop courses within ten weeks of the start of the semester may have their award reduced or required to return part of all of the award.
  • Students applying for financial assistance from Regis College must advise the Awards Committee of any applications made to other funding sources and any positive outcomes of such applications.  In instances where funds contributed by Regis College are required to secure an external grant (e.g. Ontario Graduate Scholarship), any funds awarded by Regis College will be applied toward the matching requirement.
  • Applications may be considered as they are submitted and are subject to availability of funds.
