D.S.D. Graduation Requirements

  • A passing grade in each of the 12 course units, including a pass in the RGP3687H, RGP3688H, RGP3661H, RGP3248Y and RGP3269H.
  • A pass in the supervised praxis components.
  • An overall average of B-.

  

M.Div and DSD 

Students enrolled in both the Master of Divinity (MDiv) and Dipolma in Spiritual Direction (DSD) Programs who complete successfully the DSD Praxis component (RGP3661H Practicum in Spiritual Direction; RGP3248Y Retreat in Everyday Life; and RGP3269H Supervised Practice and Appropriation of the MInistry of Spiritual Direction) may apply these four credits to fulfill RGF3010Y Theological Field Education placement within the MDiv Program.  If this application is made, none of the four DSD Praxis credits may be applied to any other program requirement within the MDiv.  The combined completion of the MDiv and DSD normally will require no fewer than 32 credits.

  

MA in MS and DSD 

Students enrolled in both the Master of Arts in Spirituality and Ministry (MA in MS) and Diploma in Spiritual Direction (DSD) Programs who complete successfully the DSD Praxis component (RGP3661H Practicum in Spiritual Direction; RGP3248Y Retreat in Everyday Life; and RGP3269H Supervised Practice and Appropriation of the MInistry of Spiritual Direction) may apply thesefour credits to fulfill RGP3218Y IFM/MAMS Pastoral Component within the MA in MS Program.  If this application is made, none of the four DSD Praxis credits may be applied to any other program requirement within the MA in MS.  The combined completion of the MA in MS and DSD normally will require no fewer than 22 credits.

Diploma in Spiritual Direction (D.S.D.)
