Eastern Christian Studies (E.C.S.)
MISSION
The Eastern Christian Studies program offers students an opportunity to
experience and study the history, theology and spirituality of the
Eastern Christian Churches, both Orthodox and Catholic. A collaborative
effort of the Faculty of Theology, of the University of St. Michael's
College and Regis College, this program gives expression to the
commitment to ecumenism, which is a fundamental goal of the Toronto
School of Theology.
GOALS
- To introduce students to Eastern Christianity.
- To assist those already familiar with Eastern Christianity to deepen their knowledge of this tradition.
- To provide a visible presence of Eastern Christianity within TST.
- To complement the courses and programs of Regis College and TST.
