Discovering Theology

A variety of introductory experiences and courses invite newcomers to discover theology at Regis College. Semi-annual Open Houses welcome the general public to a free day of lectures, tours of our facilities and informal conversations with faculty, students and alums. The Windows on Theology continuous learning series offers six to eight session non-credit courses on topical issues in scripture, church history, pastoral studies and theology. The Test Drive program offers a simplified application process and an entrance scholarship to help welcome students to their first credit course without making a commitment to a full program of studies. Open registration in Special Basic Studies allows students to explore a sampling of credit courses, often as a way to test a new interest before making a commitment to specific degree program. The Integration for Ministry programs provide a supportive, personal exploration of the relation of spirituality and service to contemporary Church and society, programs that often appeal to those with some previous involvement in Church or community organizations. The Master of Theological Studies presents a general interest program of trans-disciplinary studies, often pursued by those with an established professional identity who wish to continue in their chosen careers with the enrichment of a quality theological education. The Master of Arts in Theology introduces the academic study of theology to those who wish to qualify for advanced research programs. Regis College offers many opportunities and paths for those who wish to discover the role theological studies can play in their personal and professional development.
