ATTENTION REGIS COLLEGE STUDENTS
Position Open for 2008-2009 Academic Year for One Part-Time Writing Tutor
The Regis College Writing Clinic invites applicants for the position of writing tutor.
- Providing one-on-one tutoring sessions
- Leading occasional small group writing seminars
- Writing brief session notes
Keeping basic client use statistics
Participating in training and professional development sessions
Regis College student with proven writing abilities
Good understanding of the writing process with ability to diagnose client needs
Aptitude to develop flexible strategies to respond to client needs
Excellent interpersonal awareness; ability to respond to others with patience and tact
Able to accept constructive supervision
Able to maintain client confidentiality and professionalism
At least one year of theological (or religious)studies; preference will be given to Advanced Degree students
Employment runs from September to April and takes place at Regis College during open hours of the Regis College Library; may include evening and Saturday hours. Maximum paid employment of 55 hours over the academic year.
