Lloyd Baugh, S.J., a Jesuit of the Upper Canada Province, is Professor of Theology and Film Studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome. Following ordination in 1984, he completed his Licentiate and Doctorate in Fundamental Theology at the Gregorian, where he has been teaching since 1991 in the departments of Theology, Communications, Spirituality and Inter-religious Dialogue. Lloyd has also taught in Canada, the USA, the Philippines and Madagascar, and is the holder of the “Nash Chair in Religion” at Campion College, Regina for 2006-2007. He has published Imaging the Divine, a book on Jesus in the cinema, and more than sixty articles on the interface between theology and cinema.
