Regis College Library is connected to the University of Toronto wireless network. Coverage extends throughout the building.
If you have used the UTORcwn network in other campus buildings, you should already have a profile set up. Accessing the wireless network at Regis involves one extra step. To log in, access the web site at http://login.wireless.utoronto.ca
This site is only available through a wireless connection. You need to visit this site every time you use the wireless network at Regis; we are not set up for an automatic login.
Here are a few tips which will facilitate your wireless experience at Regis:
1.You are responsible for knowing how to operate your own laptop computer or handheld device.The following links may be helpful:

Regis Library staff does not provide technical support. If you have questions about your device’s wireless card, network settings, creating a wireless profile, etc. please visit one of the Information Commons Help Desks in the Robarts Library or the Pratt Library, or email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 416-978-4357.
2.The University of Toronto wireless network requires a UTORid and password for access.If you have a UTOR e-mail account, you already have a UTORid.If you have forgotten your password, please visit the Information Commons in the Robarts Library to have your password reset.
If you do not have UTORid, you must create one at: www.utorid.utoronto.ca
3.There is an automatic timeout after 30 minutes of inactivity.
4.The Regis wireless connection is limited to 15 simultaneous users.Demand will be monitored and may be increased if necessary.
5.Each user is limited to downloading 1 GB (gigabyte) of data per week. This is a common limit across campus set by the University of Toronto Network and Computing Services.
6.E-mail programs such as Outlook, Thunderbird, WordPerfectMail, etc.may be problematic when used over a wireless network.You probably will be able to read messages but not to reply or send out new messages.Accessing your e-mail through your provider’s web-mail site (e.g. my.utoronto.ca, passport.sympatico.ca, rogers.yahoo.com, etc.) will solve this problem.
