Date:
Sat, 2005-09-03 23:00 - Sun, 2005-09-04 01:00

'The wagon wheel shows that the hub is the centre of all energy and movement, even if it often seems not to be moving at all.  In God all action and all rest are one.'

--Henri Nouwen, Here and Now (1994).

On 18-20 May 2006, the University of Saint Michael's College, Regis College, L'Arche Daybreak and the Henri Nouwen Societies of Canada and the United States will host "Turning the Wheel: Henri Nouwen and Our Search for God" to honour the tenth anniversary of Nouwen's death. This event will include a one-day gathering at L'Arche Daybreak in Richmond Hill and a two-day symposium on the campuses of Regis College, Saint Michael's College, and the University of Toronto.

Look for a preliminary list of keynote speakers and a call for symposium proposals-papers (approx. 20-30 minutes), panels and/or workshops exploring the relevance of Nouwen's spiritual vision in the 21st century-by September 2005.

Please consider joining us as we honour the life and legacy of one of the great spiritual masters of the 20th century.
