Eucharist is celebrated every day during term except reading weeks and holiday. Everyone is welcome to attend.
It is offered Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 1:10pm. Wednesdays at 1:30pm.
Adoration is conducted Thursdays at 12:30pm.
Services held in St. Joseph Chapel or St. Marie Oratory.
All members of the Regis College community are encouraged to become members of the Liturgy Committee, and to contribute to the pastoral and spiritual formation of all involved in the preparation and celebration of the Wednesday Liturgy, the primary weekly liturgy of this faith community.
The Liturgy Committee plans the Wednesday liturgy and invites various members of the community to be presiders, homilists, cantors, readers and Eucharistic ministers, and to fill any other ministry arising out of a particular liturgy. Attention is paid to prayerful worship and music, the issues of the various images and metaphors of God, inclusive language and concerns for justice and the needs of the world.
The Liturgy Committee is composed of a chairperson, a staff person, the music director, and members of the community who are willing to prepare upcoming liturgies. At weekly meetings, the preparation is done in the context of prayerful reflection on the Scripture readings that are a part of the liturgy. This reflection develops a focus that contributes to the planning of the environment, the homily, and the music for the celebration of the liturgy. The meeting and various responsibilities arising from the planning comprise at least a two-hour commitment each week.
The Liturgy Committee welcomes all social justice concerns and initiatives from students and faculty so as to connect our worship with our actions on behalf of justice for the world.
If you are interested in joining the Liturgy Committee, or the Regis College Choir, or assisting in our liturgical celebrations as Minister of the Word, Eucharistic Minister, or in baking our community bread, kindly contact Fr. Joseph Schner.
There are many opportunities for spiritual guidance, offered through either faculty members or college spiritual directors. Students should consult with their faculty advisors about choosing a spiritual director.
