Regis Professor Ovey Mohammed Honoured by the University of Sudbury

At its annual convocation on November 14, 2013, the University of Sudbury conferred an honorary degree to Regis College Professor Dr. Ovey Mohammed, s.j., B.A., M.A., B.Ed., M.A. (Phil), Ph.D. By the conferral of this award, Professor Mohammed is recognized for his academic contribution through his many thoughtful written pieces on interfaith dialogue and the relevance of religion in a modern world.

Close to 150 guests were in attendance to participate in the annual awards celebration, which this year celebrates the university's first 100 years of existence.

Regis College is the Jesuit School of Theology at the University of Toronto and a Founding Member of the Toronto School of Theology.

Members of the public interested in theological education are invited to attend an open house in October and March each year.
